Ways Forward 3: A New Era for Co-operative Development

CHANGE IN VENUE to Central Hall, Oldham St, Manchester

After many successes for the co-operative movement, the shudder of 2013/14 will go down as the co-operative annus miserabilis. The crises at the Co-operative Bank, and Group as a whole, prompted the media into a wave of attacks on the principles of democratic business management and ownership, reflected in wholesale changes at the Group and the loss of several of its businesses to co-operative ownership.

2015 presents our movement with a very different environment than when we entered 2014. The aim of this conference is to help rebuild and renew the co-operative movement by:

  • learning directly from co-operative success stories around the world
  • moving on using the lessons of the crises attheBank and Group
  • progressing a co-operative development fund and framework

Delegates will have the chance to be inspired by international speakers, tour FC United’s new stadium, contribute, influence, exhibit, network and more. Please contact us if you would like to sponsor or contribute to assist the conference.
